The Floating Soundbath
What if, for 90 minutes, nobody needed anything from you?
The Floating Soundbath is exactly what it sounds like. A Soundbath, suspended in a silk hammock at The Yoga Barn in South Cave. You climb in, get comfortable and let the hammock hold you while I work around the room with crystal singing bowls, drum, tuning forks and chimes.
This is for the women who spend most of their lives doing, thinking, organising, remembering and looking after everybody else. The ones who know they need to stop, but aren’t always very good at actually doing it.
You don’t need to know how to meditate or be good at switching off. You can arrive with a busy head, a tired body and a list as long as your arm waiting for you at home.
For 90 minutes, there is nowhere else to be, nothing else to do and nobody asking anything of you.
Close your eyes. Let yourself be held. Let the sound do its thing.
Falling asleep is absolutely allowed.

Women have described leaving with a quieter mind, sleeping incredibly deeply afterwards and waking up with an energy they hadn’t felt in years.
No experience needed. Come exactly as you are.
Sanctuary of Sound
A Friday night for putting some of it down.
Sanctuary of Sound is my monthly evening gathering at Yogabomb in York.
For 90 minutes, you get to step away from everything you’re carrying and into a room where nobody needs anything from you.
We begin together with cacao and cards, with space to arrive and land. From there we move through a grounding drum release before you lie down, get warm and become drenched in the sound of the crystal singing bowls.
This is for the woman who’s had a week. Or a month. Or frankly, a year.
The one carrying work, family, relationships, decisions, everybody else’s needs and the never ending list running through her head.
There is space to be seen and witnessed here. You can share or say absolutely nothing. You can arrive frazzled, emotional, knackered, excited, fine, or somewhere in between.
Sometimes choosing yourself looks remarkably like lying on the floor on a Friday night while somebody else holds the space.

Women often tell me they hadn’t realised how much they needed the pause until they finally stopped.

Return To You
One hour. Small group. Big exhale.
Return to You is my smallest and most intimate group Soundbath, held at Little Bea in Pocklington.
A small room, a small group, a grounding drum, crystal singing bowls and one whole hour where your only responsibility is to yourself.
This is a lovely place to start if you’re new to Soundbaths, if bigger groups aren’t your thing, or if you simply want somewhere close to home where you can shut the door on everything outside for a bit.
Come in. Get comfortable. Get warm.
You don’t need to talk, achieve anything or work anything out.
You have permission to pause, rest and receive.
One hour where nobody needs anything from you.
